Size and Characteristics of the Population to be Served

The population in the Prairie du Chien area (approximately 20,000) will benefit by visiting this park and learning more about history of Prairie du Chien and enjoying the aesthetic experience of viewing the artwork. People will be invited to participate in programs such as story telling, music and dance, lectures, etc..., which may be offered at this park.

All of the area school children (approximately 2,000) who visit the park will be able to visualize more of their own history and, perhaps, write about it or do other school projects about the characters portrayed.

Over 500,000 visitors come to Prairie du Chien and Saint Feriole Island each summer. The number of visitors to this sculpture park will grow through the years as this unique sculpture park develops as a main attraction on the Mississippi River.

This will be a permanent attraction and travel destination for Southwest Wisconsin and othe other states adjoining the Mississippi River. It will be a landmark not only for the state, but for the whole area. A unique monument for our whole country, it will benefit untold numbers of future visitors.
